Ingredients

Filling

  • 8 pieces granny smith apples
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup Hickory Bourbon Bar-B-Q Sauce
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon coriander
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Juice of ½ lemon lemon juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract

Topping

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup softened butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Peel, core, and cut the apples into ½-inch wedges.
  3. Mix together all filling ingredients and fold into the apples.
  4. Pour the apple mixture into a 9x13 baking dish.
  5. Mix together all topping ingredients until the butter is incorporated.
  6. Sprinkle the crumb topping over the apple mixture.
  7. Place the cobbler in the oven and increase the heat to 425°F.
  8. Cook for 15 minutes, then reduce the heat to 375°F.
  9. Cook for an additional 35 minutes.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool for 20 minutes before serving.
