Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 2 19 oz packages Italian Sausages
  • 1 lg Red Onion
  • 4 lg cloves Garlic
  • 1 ¼ cup Chicken Broth or Water
  • 1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Onion Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Coarse Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 4 Bell Peppers
  • 1 14.5 oz can Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 15 oz can Tomato Sauce
  • 1 6 oz can Tomato Paste

Instructions

  1. Prepare all ingredients by chopping vegetables and measuring spices.
  2. Sauté the sausages in batches until browned, then set aside.
  3. Cook the onions until softened, adding a bit of broth if necessary.
  4. Add garlic and sauté briefly.
  5. Stir in remaining broth, seasonings, and bell peppers without stirring.
  6. Place sausages on top of the peppers without stirring.
  7. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and spoon tomato paste on top without stirring.
  8. Seal the lid and set to pressure cook for 10 minutes.
  9. After cooking, let the pressure release naturally for 4 minutes, then manually release remaining pressure.
  10. Remove sausages, stir the peppers and sauce gently, and serve.
