Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, turkey sausage, breadcrumbs, basil, oregano, fennel, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix gently without compacting the meat.
- Shape the mixture into 6 patties.
- Grill the patties for about 5 minutes on one side until browned, then flip and grill for another 5 minutes until cooked through.
- Top the burgers with mozzarella and Asiago cheese just before they are fully cooked.
- In a separate bowl, toss the sliced onions and bell peppers with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Grill the vegetables in a grill basket until softened and lightly charred, about 8 minutes, turning frequently.
- Toast the buns if desired, then serve the burgers on the buns topped with grilled vegetables.
