Ingredients

The burgers

  • 1 lb ground turkey (93/7)
  • 2 tsp olive oil or avocado oil
  • 3 oz spinach, roughly chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 ½ tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes

Optional Tzatziki sauce

  • ½ cup grated English cucumber
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1 Tbsp fresh dill
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to 425ºF-450ºF.
  2. Sauté the spinach and garlic in a pan with oil until the spinach is wilted, then let it cool.
  3. Combine all burger ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  4. Form the mixture into 4-5 patties, adding extra feta if desired.
  5. Grill the patties for 10 minutes on one side, then flip and grill for another 6-8 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Serve the burgers with your choice of toppings or in a bun.
