Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a medium bowl, combine the peanut butter, softened butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla, whisking until smooth.
- Stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Scoop rounded spoonfuls of dough, roll into balls, and place on the prepared cookie sheet, pressing a fork into each to create a crosshatch pattern.
- Bake for 8 to 11 minutes until the edges are set but the cookies remain pale.
- Cool on the baking sheet for at least 10 minutes before moving.
