Cauliflower Pizza Crust

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 16 ounces chopped cauliflower
  • ½ cup chopped yellow onion
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 420°F.
  2. Heat the avocado oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté the cauliflower and onion for 5 minutes.
  3. Add water, cover, and cook for an additional 7 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool.
  5. Transfer the cooled mixture to a food processor and pulse until grated.
  6. Place the grated mixture in a clean kitchen towel and wring out the moisture.
  7. In a large bowl, combine the cauliflower mixture with the egg, mozzarella cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  8. Spread the mixture onto a prepared pizza pan and press it down gently.
  9. Bake for 15 minutes, then remove and wipe away excess grease.
  10. Flip the crust over and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes.
