Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins

Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and prepare a muffin tin by greasing it or lining it with muffin papers.
- 2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- 3. In a separate bowl, peel and mash the bananas until you have about 1 ⅓ cups.
- 4. Add the egg, softened butter, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas and mix until well combined.
- 5. Fold the dry ingredients into the banana mixture, then gently fold in the chocolate chips and nuts if using.
- 6. Pour the batter into the muffin tins, filling each about ⅔ full.
- 7. Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
