Chocolate Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F and line a muffin tin with 12 liners.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar using an electric mixer.
- Add the egg whites, bananas, apple sauce, and vanilla, and mix until thick.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Combine the dry ingredients with the banana mixture, mixing on low speed until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and pour the batter into the muffin tins.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- If desired, make a glaze by mixing confectioners sugar with a small amount of water and drizzle over the muffins.
