Ingredients

The bok choy

  • 1 lb bok choy

The sauce

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 dashes ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • ¾ tablespoon sugar
  • ½ tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon sesame oil
  • ¼ teaspoon white sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (207°C).
  2. Clean and rinse the bok choy, trim off the stems, and slice it into quarters.
  3. Prepare the dressing by combining soy sauce, sugar, apple cider vinegar, sesame oil, and sesame seeds, then set aside.
  4. Toss the bok choy with olive oil and black pepper, then arrange it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Cover the bok choy with aluminum foil to prevent burning.
  6. Roast in the oven for 8 minutes.
  7. Transfer the bok choy to a serving platter, drizzle with the sauce, and serve immediately.
