Ingredients

The sauce

  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ¼ teaspoon sesame oil
  • ½ tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

The bok choy

  • 3-4 heads baby bok choy

For cooking

  • to taste oil of your choice (olive, canola, avocado, etc.)
  • to taste kosher salt
  • to taste black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, combine honey, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, soy sauce, ground ginger, and sesame seeds; whisk to combine and set aside.
  3. Slice the ends off the bok choy, separate the leaves, rinse them clean, and pat dry.
  4. Drizzle the bok choy with oil and lightly coat it, then sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  5. Place the bok choy in a grill basket over the heat and toss often until the leaves are charred and wilted, which takes only a few minutes.
  6. Transfer the bok choy to the bowl of sauce and toss to coat.
  7. Serve immediately.
