Grilled Bok Choy with Ponzu Sauce

Ingredients

The Bok Choy

  • 1 large head Bok Choy
  • 1–2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • to taste salt

The Ponzu Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or GF Liquid aminos
  • 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice or yuzu
  • 2 tablespoons Mirin or 2 teaspoons honey and 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
  • pinch chili flakes

Instructions

  1. Make the ponzu dressing by whisking all the ingredients together.
  2. Prepare the Bok Choy by pulling off the outer pieces, cutting the core if necessary, rinsing, and patting dry.
  3. Preheat the grill to high heat for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Brush the Bok Choy with oil and optionally sprinkle with salt.
  5. Grill the Bok Choy for 3-4 minutes on each side until slightly charred.
  6. Serve immediately drizzled with Ponzu sauce.
