Ingredients

  • 1 lb uncooked hot Italian poultry sausage
  • 8 oz sliced white mushrooms
  • 8 oz canned tomato sauce
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 oz turkey pepperoni slices
  • oz sliced black olives
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • a pinch crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 can (7.5 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 cup shredded 2% Mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage, breaking it up until browned, then add mushrooms and cook until softened.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce, pizza sauce, pepperoni, olives, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, and biscuit dough pieces until well mixed.
  4. Transfer the mixture to the baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes, then sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly.
