Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter and 2 ounces of chopped chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, whisking until smooth.
- Whisk in the sugar, then add the eggs and vanilla, mixing until combined.
- Fold in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, remaining chocolate, pecans, and chocolate chips until the batter is thick.
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
- Once baked, pour slightly cooled salted caramel over the hot brownies and spread evenly.
- Let the brownies cool completely before cutting into squares.
