The filling

apple juice

all-purpose flour

packed brown sugar

rolled oats

finely chopped walnuts

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Pour apple juice into the bottom of a large baking dish.
- Use a paring knife or melon baller to scoop out the inside of each apple.
- Arrange the apples in the baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, oats, cinnamon, walnuts, and salt.
- Pour melted butter into the mixture and stir until combined.
- Spoon the filling into each cored apple.
- Bake the apples for 40 minutes or until tender.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving, optionally topped with ice cream and caramel sauce.
