Ingredients

The cake

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a 9-inch loaf pan.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together sugar, yogurt, eggs, orange zest, and vanilla.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  5. Fold in the vegetable oil until the batter is uniform.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. Prepare the icing by mixing powdered sugar with orange juice and optional zest.
  10. Drizzle the icing over the cooled cake and let it set.
