Ingredients

  • 10 oz unsalted butter
  • 1 ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 2 cup cake flour
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2-3 tablespoon orange zest

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 160°C (325°F) and grease a 10-inch pan with cooking spray.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar together at high speed until fluffy and white, about 4-5 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Sift in the flour and baking powder, then add the orange zest, juice, almond extract, and vanilla extract.
  5. Mix until fully combined and scrape down the sides of the bowl.
  6. Pour the batter into the greased cake pan and tap to remove air bubbles.
  7. Bake for about 45-50 minutes until a tester comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool on a wire rack and serve with powdered sugar or orange curd.
