Instructions
- Prepare the roux by mixing milk, water, and flour until smooth, then cook over low heat until it thickens slightly.
- Let the roux cool before using it.
- In a stand mixer, combine the roux with all dough ingredients and mix on low speed until combined.
- Knead the dough on medium-low speed for 5-6 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Shape the dough into a ball, place it in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 90 minutes until puffy.
- Divide the dough into 9 portions, shape into balls, and place in a greased baking pan.
- Cover the rolls and let them rise for another 50 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (176°C), brush rolls with milk, and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and serve warm.
