Soft Dinner Rolls

Instructions
- Prepare the dough by whisking warm milk, yeast, and 1 tablespoon of sugar, then let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add the remaining sugar, egg, butter, salt, and 1 cup of flour, then mix until combined.
- Gradually add the remaining flour until the dough comes together and pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
- Knead the dough for 5 minutes until it is soft and slightly tacky.
- Let the dough rise in a greased bowl for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough, divide it into 14-16 pieces, and shape into smooth balls.
- Arrange the rolls in a greased baking pan and let them rise for about 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Optionally, brush the warm rolls with honey butter before serving.
