Ingredients

The dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • teaspoons garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • cup warm vegan milk
  • ½ cup greek vegan yogurt
  • tablespoons coconut oil or olive oil

Optional toppings

  • to taste vegan parmesan cheese
  • to taste extra garlic
  • to taste parsley
  • to taste cilantro

Instructions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl and create a well in the center.
  2. Slowly add the warm vegan milk and yogurt, mixing until just incorporated.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 3 minutes.
  4. Grease the dough ball, cover it, and let it rise for 30 minutes.
  5. Divide the dough into 6 equal balls and roll them into circles.
  6. Heat a skillet and brush the naan with oil before cooking.
  7. Cook each naan for about 30 seconds to 1 minute on each side until bubbles form.
  8. Remove from heat, let cool, and sprinkle with optional toppings before serving.
