Instructions
- Activate the yeast by mixing it with warm water and sugar, and let it sit until frothy.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Add the yeast mixture, yogurt, and oil to the dry ingredients and mix until sticky.
- Knead the dough gently on a floured surface and form it into a ball, then let it rise in a warm place for at least 2 hours.
- Divide the dough into 6 pieces and shape them into balls, letting them rest for 10 minutes.
- Roll out each ball into an oval or circle and prepare a cast-iron pan over medium heat.
- Cook each naan for about 1 minute on each side until browned, adding toppings as desired.
- Brush with melted vegan butter or oil and serve immediately.
