Instructions
- Measure 40 grams of coffee beans using a food scale.
- Grind the coffee beans to a medium-coarse texture.
- Heat 600 mL of filtered water to 200ºF.
- Place a filter in the Chemex and wet it with 50 mL of water, then discard the water.
- Add the ground coffee to the filter, ensuring an even layer.
- Pour 75 mL of hot water over the coffee grounds in a spiral motion and let it bloom for 1 minute.
- Slowly pour the remaining water in a spiral motion over the coffee grounds until all 600 mL is used.
- Allow the coffee to drain for an additional minute before removing the filter and serving.
