Instructions
- Cook the sausage over medium-high heat for 5 minutes, turning often.
- Add ½ cup of water to the pan, reduce heat to medium-low, and cover. Cook for 12 minutes.
- Remove the sausage from the pan and add the spinach, seasoning with salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper. Cook until wilted, about 3 minutes.
- Remove the spinach from the pan and slice the sausage into rounds and chop the spinach finely.
- Meanwhile, cook the ziti in boiling salted water for 10 minutes, then drain.
- Toss the ziti with 1 cup of pasta sauce and the sausage.
- Garnish with basil and Parmesan cheese, and drizzle with more sauce if desired.
