Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat and cook the diced onion until softened.
- Add ground beef and salt, cooking until the beef is browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in tomato paste, garlic, and spices, cooking for 1 to 2 minutes until aromatic.
- Add crushed tomatoes, beans, and beef broth, then bring to a simmer.
- Simmer uncovered for 20 to 30 minutes until the chili thickens.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed, then serve with optional toppings.
