Ingredients

The pizza base

  • 1 16-ounce ball ready-to-bake pizza dough
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

The toppings

  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • ¼ cup shredded mozzarella
  • to taste toppings of choice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to 450°F.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on parchment paper until thin and translucent.
  3. Brush olive oil on the top side of the dough.
  4. Flip the dough onto the grill with the oiled side down and brush the top with olive oil.
  5. Grill the dough for 2-3 minutes until it begins to puff and develop grill marks.
  6. Flip the dough over and top with pizza sauce, mozzarella, and any additional toppings.
  7. Grill for another 2-4 minutes, adjusting the lid for desired doneness.
  8. Slide the pizza off the grill onto a serving board, let it rest for 3-5 minutes, then slice and serve.
