Ingredients

The pork chops

  • 4 pieces boneless pork chops (4-6 ounces each)

The seasoning and sauce

  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • ¾ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)
  • optional lemon wedges and parsley sprigs for serving

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. 2. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe pan over medium-high heat.
  3. 3. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.
  4. 4. Cook the pork chops in the pan for about 2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. 5. Remove the pork chops and cover them with foil to keep warm.
  6. 6. In the same pan, melt the butter and add garlic, brown sugar, and rosemary; cook for 30 seconds while stirring.
  7. 7. Return the pork chops to the pan and spoon the sauce over them.
  8. 8. Bake in the oven for about 10 minutes or until the pork reaches 145°F.
  9. 9. Spoon the sauce over the pork chops again and sprinkle with parsley before serving.
