Ingredients

The pork chops

  • 4 pieces bone in pork chops

The sauce

  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • salt and pepper to taste

For serving

  • optional lemon wedges and parsley sprigs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Season pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.
  4. Add pork chops to the pan and cook for 4 minutes on each side until browned.
  5. Remove pork from the pan and cover with foil to keep warm.
  6. Melt butter in the pan, then add garlic, brown sugar, and Italian seasoning, cooking for 30 seconds while stirring.
  7. Return pork chops to the pan, spoon sauce over them, and place the pan in the oven.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until pork reaches an internal temperature of at least 145 degrees F.
  9. Spoon sauce over pork chops and sprinkle with parsley before serving.
