Ingredients

The pork chops

  • 24 oz bone-in pork chops

The seasoning

  • ¼ teaspoon table salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon granulated garlic

The cooking fat

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon salted butter

Instructions

  1. Combine salt, black pepper, and granulated garlic in a bowl and whisk together.
  2. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides with the spice mixture. Let sit for 20 minutes.
  3. Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  4. Place the seasoned pork chops in the hot pan and cook for 4-5 minutes without moving them.
  5. Flip the chops carefully and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F.
  6. Add butter to the pan and coat the chops with melted butter.
  7. Remove the chops from the pan and serve with your favorite sides.
