Quick Homemade Tomato Sauce

Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a medium pot and add onions and garlic with a pinch of salt, cooking on low for 10 minutes.
- Add crushed red pepper flakes and white wine, simmering for 2-3 minutes until the alcohol smell dissipates.
- Add the canned tomatoes, snipping them into smaller pieces, and season with salt. Simmer for 15 minutes.
- Transfer the sauce to a blender or food processor, add basil, and purée until smooth. Adjust salt to taste.
