Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F.
- In a mixing bowl, combine granulated sugar and brown sugar, then whisk in flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Add melted butter and stir until evenly moistened.
- Mix in the eggs, egg yolk, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the mixture into a buttered 8x8-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
- Bake for 28 to 32 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely.
- For the frosting, in a saucepan over medium-high heat, bring butter, milk, and light brown sugar to a boil, stirring frequently.
- Boil for 1 minute, then remove from heat and stir in dulce de leche and vanilla.
- Add powdered sugar and whisk until well blended, then stir in peanuts.
- Pour the frosting over the cooled brownies and spread evenly.
- Refrigerate or let the frosting set at room temperature before cutting into squares.
