Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a bowl and set aside.
- In another bowl, mix together granulated sugar, light brown sugar, and melted butter until combined.
- Stir in eggs and vanilla extract until blended.
- Add half of the flour mixture and mix until combined, then add milk and mix again, followed by the remaining flour mixture.
- Pour the brownie batter into a greased 8x8-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
- Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until the center is nearly set.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely before frosting with the chocolate cream cheese frosting.
- To make the frosting, whip together cream cheese and butter until smooth, then add vanilla, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder until fluffy.
