Ingredients

Cake Batter

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ⅓ cups sour cream
  • 10 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Cinnamon + Sugar + Chocolate

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups chocolate chips, regular or mini

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (325°F if using a glass pan) and grease a 9X13-inch pan.
  2. Combine all cake batter ingredients in a bowl and mix until well-combined.
  3. Whisk together the cinnamon and sugar.
  4. Spread half of the batter in the prepared pan, sprinkle with half of the cinnamon sugar and half of the chocolate chips.
  5. Dollop the remaining batter on top and spread evenly, then sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon sugar and chocolate chips.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
