Roasted Garlic

Ingredients

The garlic

  • 1 head garlic
  • few sprigs thyme
  • to taste tablespoons olive oil
  • to taste teaspoons kosher salt

For serving

  • 1 loaf French bread
  • to taste salt nice salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Cut off the top of the garlic head to expose some cloves.
  3. Place the garlic on a sheet of aluminum foil and add the herbs around it.
  4. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
  5. Pour 2 tablespoons of water around the garlic and seal the foil into a pouch.
  6. Roast in the oven for 1 hour.
  7. Let cool briefly, then carefully open the foil to avoid steam.
  8. Spread the roasted garlic on warm French bread and top with salt.
