Ingredients

The garlic

  • 2 heads garlic

The seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste kosher salt
  • to taste ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Remove the papery outer layers from the garlic heads, leaving them whole.
  3. Trim the tops of the garlic heads to expose the cloves.
  4. Drizzle olive oil over the exposed cloves and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  5. Wrap each head in aluminum foil or parchment paper to create a sealed packet.
  6. Place the packets in a baking dish and roast for 35 to 45 minutes.
  7. Once done, let the garlic cool, then squeeze out the roasted cloves.
