Ingredients

  • 1 head garlic
  • 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste kosher salt
  • 1 piece foil

Instructions

  1. Take a whole head of garlic and peel off any excess paper around the edges.
  2. Cut off the top part of the garlic head to expose the cloves.
  3. Place the cut head on a piece of foil, sprinkle with kosher salt, and drizzle with olive oil.
  4. Seal the foil tightly around the garlic.
  5. Place the foil-wrapped garlic in the oven at 400 degrees for about 30-40 minutes.
  6. Check if the garlic is soft using a towel or potholder.
  7. Let it cool, then unwrap and squeeze out the soft cloves or use a fork to pop them out.
