Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a ramekin.
- In a bowl, mix ground flax and water and let sit.
- Add salt, baking soda, maple syrup, vanilla, and arrowroot starch to the flax mixture and whisk until smooth.
- Stir in cocoa powder and sugar until combined.
- Mix in almond butter and chopped chocolate until fully incorporated.
- Scoop the dough into the prepared ramekin(s) and smooth the top.
- Bake for 22 to 25 minutes until risen but still soft in the center.
- Cool the brownies for 25 to 30 minutes.
- In the meantime, prepare the caramel by blending all ingredients until smooth.
- Serve the brownie with caramel sauce and optional toppings like ice cream or walnuts.
