Ingredients

The quinoa dish

  • 1 cup organic 1% low fat milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup organic quinoa
  • 2 cups fresh blackberries
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

The toppings

  • cup chopped pecans, toasted
  • 4 teaspoons organic agave nectar

Instructions

  1. Combine milk, water, and quinoa in a medium saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil over high heat.
  3. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes or until most liquid is absorbed.
  4. Turn off heat and let stand covered for 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in blackberries and cinnamon.
  6. Transfer to bowls and top with toasted pecans.
  7. Drizzle 1 teaspoon of agave nectar over each serving.
