Ingredients

The Brussels Sprouts

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts

The Seasoning

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon fine sea salt

The Balsamic Glaze

  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey (or maple syrup)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400ºF and slice the Brussels sprouts in half.
  2. Place the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil and salt, then toss to coat.
  3. Arrange the Brussels sprouts cut-side-down and roast for 20 minutes until golden brown.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar and honey.
  5. After 20 minutes, remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven and add the balsamic mixture, stirring to coat.
  6. Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Serve warm, seasoning with extra salt or pepper if desired.
