Ingredients

  • 1 stick Salted Butter
  • cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ cup White Sugar
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 large Egg White
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Gluten Free 1:1 Baking Flour
  • ¾ teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 1 ¼ cups Gluten-Free Rolled Oats
  • 1 ½ cups Bittersweet Chocolate or Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Brown the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until golden brown and aromatic, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Remove the browned butter from heat and let it cool completely.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooled brown butter with the brown sugar and white sugar, mixing until creamed.
  5. Add the egg, egg white, and vanilla extract to the mixture and mix until just combined.
  6. Incorporate the gluten-free flour, baking soda, sea salt, oats, and chocolate until just combined.
  7. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and scoop 12-16 cookies onto it, leaving space between each.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or 8-9 minutes for softer cookies.
  9. Remove from the oven, optionally sprinkle with flaky salt, and let cool before serving.
