Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a baking sheet with nonstick spray.
- Mix sugar and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon in a small bowl.
- Cut the bread into sticks.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla, zest, salt, and remaining cinnamon.
- Dip each bread stick into the egg mixture, ensuring they are coated but not soggy.
- Place the sticks on the baking sheet, ensuring they do not touch, and sprinkle with half the cinnamon sugar.
- Bake for 10 minutes, flip the sticks, spray lightly with cooking spray, and sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon sugar.
- Continue baking for another 10 minutes until golden and cooked through.
