Easy Cinnamon French Toast Sticks

Instructions
- Cut the edges of the bread if desired, then cut each slice into 1-inch thick sticks.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, half and half, and vanilla extract, then set aside.
- In a shallow bowl, combine the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg, then set aside.
- Dip each bread stick into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off, and place them in a single layer on a lined baking sheet.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat, then add the bread sticks in a single layer without overcrowding.
- Cook until golden brown on one side, then flip and cook until the other side is golden brown.
- Immediately transfer the cooked sticks to the cinnamon-sugar mixture and roll to coat all sides.
- Serve on a plate with syrup and fruits.
