fresh berries or bananas

maple syrup
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 200°F and line a baking sheet with foil.
In a shallow dish, whisk together the cinnamon and sugar for the topping.
In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, sugar, eggs, salt, and vanilla until smooth.
Add the flour and baking powder to the egg mixture and stir until there are no lumps.
Heat the oil in a large skillet or deep fryer to 350°F.
Dip the bread sticks in the egg batter, allowing excess to drip off.
Fry the sticks until golden brown on one side, about 2 to 3 minutes, then flip and cook the other side.
Drain the fried sticks on paper towels and roll them in the cinnamon sugar topping.
Transfer the coated sticks to the baking sheet in the oven to keep warm until serving.
Serve with fresh berries and syrup if desired.
