Instructions
- Wash, peel, and chop the potatoes into 1" pieces.
- Peel and smash three garlic cloves, then mince the remaining two garlic cloves.
- Place the chopped potatoes and smashed garlic in a pot, cover with cold water, add salt, and bring to a boil.
- Boil for 6-8 minutes until the potatoes are easily pierced with a fork, then drain the water.
- Add butter and minced garlic to the potatoes and mash together.
- Stir in milk and sour cream until smooth.
- Mix in the cheeses until melted and fully combined, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot.
