The base

The toppings

Instructions

  2. Season the grits with butter, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a small skillet, cook the egg, leaving the yolk runny if desired.
  4. Warm the collard greens in the microwave.
  5. Spoon the collard greens over the grits and top with the egg.
