Instructions
- Prepare a grill for medium heat and rub the salmon with 2 Tbsp of olive oil, seasoning both sides with salt.
- Cut the ends off the lemon, slice off the outer lobes, and finely chop them, transferring to a bowl. Squeeze the juice from the core into the bowl.
- Add shallot, sesame seeds, honey, sesame oil, and the remaining ⅓ cup of olive oil to the bowl, seasoning with salt and pepper, then toss to combine.
- Clean and oil the grill grate, then place the salmon skin side down on the grill. Cover and cook until the skin is charred and the fish is opaque, about 6–8 minutes.
- Transfer the salmon to a plate to cool slightly, then divide among plates, topping with basil and spooning the lemon-sesame sauce over.
