Seven Layer Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce, shredded
  • ½ cup red onion, diced
  • 2-3 ribs celery, sliced
  • 12 ounces frozen peas, thawed
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ pound bacon, fried and crumbled

Instructions

  1. Spread the shredded lettuce evenly in the bottom of a glass bowl.
  2. Layer the diced red onion on top of the lettuce.
  3. Add the sliced celery as the next layer.
  4. Spread the thawed peas over the celery.
  5. Top the peas with mayonnaise and sprinkle with sugar.
  6. Add the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the mayonnaise.
  7. Finish with the crumbled bacon as the final layer.
  8. Cover the salad with plastic wrap and chill for at least a couple of hours.
