Ingredients

The chicken

  • pounds bone-in skin-on chicken thighs

The seasoning

  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 2 teaspoons sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

The oil

  • to brush or spray avocado oil

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
  2. Combine the oregano, thyme, salt, garlic powder, and pepper in a small bowl and rub the mixture over the chicken.
  3. Allow the chicken to sit at room temperature for 1 hour, or refrigerate overnight.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400° F.
  5. Coat the chicken thighs with avocado oil.
  6. Place the chicken thighs skin-side down in the air fryer in a single layer.
  7. Cook for 8 minutes.
  8. Flip and cook for another 8 to 10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160° F.
  9. Allow to rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
