Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Thinly slice the apples into pieces about 1/8-inch thick, peeling if desired.
- In a baking dish or dutch oven, toss the sliced apples with coconut sugar, cinnamon, ginger, tapioca starch, orange juice, and salt until evenly coated.
- Cover the dish with a lid or aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the cover, stir the apples, and return to the oven for an additional 10 to 15 minutes to thicken the sauce.
- Let the apples cool for 10 minutes before serving warm with toppings like whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
