Kombucha Brew

fermented Kombucha Tea from a previous batch

Instructions
- Wash all utensils with hot, soapy water and rinse well.
- Boil three quarts of purified water.
- Add one cup of white sugar to the boiling water and boil for five minutes.
- Turn off the heat and add 4-5 tea bags of black and/or green tea.
- Steep the tea for about 30 minutes, then remove the tea bags and let the tea cool for 3 to 5 hours.
- Pour the cooled tea into a gallon-sized glass container.
- Add your Kombucha culture and fermented Kombucha Tea, ensuring your hands are clean.
- Cover the jar with a cloth and secure it with a rubber band.
- Allow the mixture to sit undisturbed in a dark, well-ventilated area for 6 to 15 days.
- Perform a taste test after 4-6 days to check for sweetness.
- When the tea is brewed to your taste, pour it into glass bottles and cap them.
- Refrigerate the bottles to stop the fermentation process.
- Leave enough starter tea from your last batch to make another batch.
