The SCOBY
The cover

Instructions
- Boil the water and stir in the loose tea and sugar until dissolved, then allow to cool to room temperature.
- Strain the tea into a clean gallon jar, then add the kombucha starter liquid and SCOBY.
- Cover the jar with the cloth and secure it with a rubber band or string.
- Place the jar in a dark, warm area to brew undisturbed.
- After 5-6 days, start tasting the kombucha until it reaches your desired flavor.
- Remove the SCOBY and save some kombucha for your next batch.
