Ingredients

  • ¾ cup full fat coconut milk fat
  • ¾ cup coconut sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey or coconut nectar or maple syrup
  • ¼ cup palm shortening

Instructions

  1. Combine coconut milk fat, coconut sugar, and honey in a saucepan.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
  3. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Allow the caramel sauce to cool for 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in the shortening until completely dissolved.
  6. Serve the sauce.
